Summary: In order to better meet the needs of our global audience of learners, we needed a strong solution for creating on-demand learning opportunities. We ended up using Articulate RISE as our e-learning authoring tool due to its ability for interface customization, user interactions, assessment capabilities, and ability to integrate with our other systems. Before launch, we needed to ensure our designs we both on-brand and easy to apply at scale.

Case Study
// PROBLEM
Before rolling out any on-demand training modules using Articulate RISE, it was important that the experience felt elegant and on brand. Our goal was to ensure our modules did not look like the standard 'out of the box' templates that many RISE modules use. We also wanted to ensure that any customized designs could be used as templates across the company - making the build process more scalable.
// PROCESS
After spending some time analyzing RISE to see what customization was possible, I began developing branded assets (using Figma) that could be used for our most commonly used content types. For example, I developed a standardized treatment for photography, text blocks, buttons, backgrounds, etc. Once I had tested all of the custom assets in platform, each design as saved as a drag-and-drop "block" that other designers could quickly pull into their future module builds.
// SOLUTION
Since launching our first collection of on-demand, interactive modules covering an assortment of leadership skills, all other learning teams across the company have followed suite and started using our Articulate RISE templates for their builds. The outcome has been a much more streamlined design process, and where our learners receive a more consistent experience regardless of which learning team a module comes from.
