Case Study
// PROBLEM
Following our early start-up years, we identified that our teams were utilizing disparate platforms to manage learning content, resulting in a range of issues, including elevated vendor costs and a lack of consistency for employees undergoing training across our business units (i.e. Cash App > Square). It became evident that we required a platform that could cater to the needs of all our teams. However, given that our company comprises several distinct brands, each with its unique visual identity, audience, and business objectives, we faced the challenge of balancing their diverse requirements while determining the most appropriate course of action.
// PROCESS
Working closely with a cross-functional project team, we conducted a comparative analysis of various Learning Management Systems (LMS) find one that we centralize around. Eventually, we chose Docebo. As the Lead LX Designer on the centralized Block team, my task was to create a branded UI and define UX flows for our flagship programs. After several rounds of design review, we were ready to launch a beautifully branded platform that was easy to navigate, regardless of an employee's native business unit.
// SOLUTION
Ultimately, the "LMS for All" project launch on schedule with survey scores averaging 4.7/5. We were able to save the company money by using a centralized LMS and provide a more seamless user experience where they no longer needed to navigate between platforms. After launch, we received a glowing review from the Docebo team related to the UI / UX work I was responsible for, and our users provided feedback that it was much easier to use regardless if you are a new hire or highly-tenured leader.

System Governance
Due to the complexity of our company-structure, it was critical that we had representation from each of our brands as we continued to build out and maintain the LMS after launch. Out of this need, we formed an LMS governance committee, which I was nominated to lead. Meeting on a regular cadence, we defined and documented system standards, managed the vendor, researched new functionality, monitored seat count, and more. See below for a preview of our 'System Standards and Procedures' documentation.
